Warranty

Please carefully read through our warranty term and condition as follow:
All warranty repairs that could not be performed on-site due to parts not being available, lack of technical equipment and/or requires intensive attention will be processed at iGeektek Repair Centre, located at:
10 Ironstone Road, Berrinba, Queensland, 4117
1. Warranty booking requirements
(a) This warranty applies only to the customer and device serviced by iGeektek
(b) Warranty bookings are unavailable after there has been a change in ownership of the device.
(c) Once a warranty appointment has been booked the customer must be available to sign for the device before and after the repair has taken place. A nominated person is not able to accept that your warranty has been carried out.
(d) If you have had a warranty appointment and require a second one you will be required to supply us with a detailed description of your device's issue so that our technicians understand properly the issues you have having with your phone.
(e) iGeektek warranty applies where the exact same fault occurs or the replaced component fails within our warranty period. Receipt must be presented for all warranty claims.
(f) All prices and/or quotes include GST and are subject to visual inspection.
(g) iGeektek reserves the right to dispose of products and/or sell the phone 6 months after notification of completion of repairs if the service fee is unpaid and/or if the products are not collected in this time.
(h) For phones that have waterproof or water resistant function, any “phones open to check/ for quote” or “phone repair” will make the waterproof or water resistant function not available any more.
(i) Please note that Phone’s manufacture warranty will be voided once phone been opened or repaired.
2. What we cover under our 6 Month Warranty
(a) Batteries, charging ports and all small components repaired or replaced by our technician that do not work as intended or designed and are not covered by our lifetime warranty.
(b) Warranty only applies to the parts and/or services that were paid for and serviced by iGeektek.
(c) The warranty extends to cover the labor cost and parts replacement, if the claim meets our conditions.
(d) All warranty claims are subject to approval by our warranty team.
(e) We have up to 14 days to take action on a warranty request after it is approved by our warranty claim team.
3. What we cover under our Lifetime Warranty
(a) Screen/LCD repaired or replaced by our technician that does not work as intended or designed.
(b) Warranty only applies to the parts and/or services that were paid for and serviced by iGeektek.
(c) The warranty extends to cover the labor cost and parts replacement, if the claim meets our conditions.
(d) All lifetime warranty claims are subject to approval by our warranty team.
(e) We have up to 14 days to take action on a warranty request after it is approved by our warranty claim team.
(f) Phone Screen/LCD is the only product that is eligible for a Lifetime Warranty.
4. Warranty Does Not Cover the Following
(a) Software issues.
(b) Jailbroken devices.
(c) Tampering with the internal hardware.
(d)New damages unrelated to the original repair, including:
(i) Physical damage to the device following its repair.
(ii) Normal wear and tear
(iii) Bent, twisted or a cracked frame as a result of mishandling
(iv) Water/liquid damage of any kind
(v) Accidental damage resulting from drops or other forms of impact damage.
(e) Damage resulting from attempted DIY repairs or other third party repair services.
(f) Any loss of data occurring as a result of the repair - customers are advised to back up all data prior to repair attempt.
(g) Any repairs that were not booked through our online booking system at www.igeektek.com.au/repair
(h) Screen protectors are not covered at all as they are considered a consumable item.
4.1. Our warranty also does not cover the outcome of a repair if:
Certain pre-repair conditions exist, including:
(a) Existence of known manufacturing and/or performance issues related to the device separate from the repair, as noted prior to the repair.
(b) Existence of damage to the frame of device, as noted prior to the repair.
(c) There is water damage before or after our repair
(d) The device has been jailbroken at any time
(e) Phone has been opened by customer prior to our repair.
(f) We do not refund a repair on a phone that has barring (blocking) applied by its network provider. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the phone is legitimate.
